Electrical Installation, Inspection & Testing (Commercial)

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, impose duties on employers and duty holders in respect of their electrical systems and electrical equipment. To prevent danger, such as electrical shock, fire, and loss of life, all systems shall be maintained correctly. A duty holder can demonstrate compliance with the regulations, in respect of their electrical installation, by having fixed wire inspection and testing carried out on their premises.

Safe Building Services carry out fixed wire inspection and testing in accordance with BS7671 on all types of properties from commercial, residential, and industrial across the whole of Scotland and the North East of England. We are an approved contractor with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) and Select Scotland.

Electrical installation inspection & testing in accordance with BS7671 involves the testing of electrical circuits and distribution boards. The wiring of each circuit will undergo a series of tests to ensure that the wiring is safe and that the circuit is wired correctly. Each circuit’s cable and accessories, including light switches, fittings, socket outlets, and supplies to other fixed equipment, will be tested and inspected for any damage, deterioration, or dangerous conditions.

We will be more than happy to assist you with any electrical installation inspection and testing you require and will ensure that you are fully compliant with current regulations. Our aim is to keep you, your residents, and your staff safe from electrical hazards.
